John replied quickly when I posted on Checkatrade for what I thought was a small 1-metre tile replacement after another roofer never replied. He was so kind and honest, and we soon found out the job wasn’t small at all — the chimney was falling apart, gulley cracked, tiles missing and more. It was a shock, but he offered a really reasonable price, explained everything, sent photos, and was patient, caring and professional. His work was neat, fast and above and beyond — if all tradesmen were like him, Britain would be better for it.

Very friendly, punctual and thorough. Communication was prompt whether it was via the phone or email. John was very knowledgeable and was able breakdown in detail what he was going to do. on the day he and team attending on time and carried out the work. I was not on site and there was and extra piece that needed attending to. John was quick to respond and came out the next morning to fix it. Really pleased with our roof, looks fabulous. The guys worked really hard in the hottest May days ever seen. With an old house there comes complications and challenges, however they proved to be adaptable and flexible in finding the right approaches to resolve any issues. The new roof was installed in good time and great quality from the scaffolding going up to the final touches at the end. After a horrific experience with a rogue contractor who stripped my tiles, caused rainwater leaks, and demanded a 50% advance to a personal account, I terminated their contract. It was an absolute pleasure dealing with John. He has a great work ethic and knows his stuff. His team were fast, efficient, and nothing was a problem for them. Even my car that was in the way was no problem even though it made the job more difficult for them. And most importantly ,he is polite ,understanding, answers the phone and turns up on time. Use this company , and you will not regret it! My roof was larger than normal and they completed it in just one day. Had a my roof tiles cleaned but then roof started leaking. Found Benson roofing on checkatrade who came and assessed the roof and gave a quote. Explained exactly what was needed to fix the roof and gave a quote. Unfortunately due to bad weather had to wait a few months but soon as weather improved Benson roofing got back in contact and carried out the repairs to a very high standard. Works guaranteed for 8 years. Nice clean tidy job…very happy with Benson Roofing.

Bensons were very quick in responding to my initial request via Checkatrade. Their quote was cost effective and the work was completed promptly (Monday of the following week) to fit in with my availability. All materials were removed from site.

Bensons Roofing gave a competitive quote to completely replace a flat roof as well as coat and seal the surrounding gulleys to make it water tight. They also re-attached gutter pipes that had come loose from the walls of our apartment block due to the wind and wear and tear, and secured two hoppers that had become dislodged. They repairs gutters, where needed and cleaned out all the debris winter had left. They were extremely professional, very polite and accommodating, cleaned up after finishing the job. The 6-man team completed the job in two days. I highly recommend Bensons!

We contacted John through Check a trade,He responded quickly and came to inspect the issue. We had a flat roof on loft conversion and water was leaking inside. John suggested that it willow be a good to change the roof tiles, in case we want to do it as scaffolding was going up anyway for roof repairs. Work started on Monday and completed on Tuesday evening. Thursday, John came down to do some patch work in the ceiling which happened during roof repair. He also provided 15 year warranty certificate. I would definitely recommend John to anyone for roof repairs or changing roof tiles.

We had a very good experience with Bensons: a fair good value quote for our flat roof renovation with all inclusive approach including some minor repairs of other minor defects within reach of the flat roof; the work was performed on time on the agreed day and the team on the day performed the work quickly and efficiently; the team provided photos after the job and the work appears neat, tidy and in accordance with the agreed scope. My balcony roof was damaged, causing a major crack and a leak into my front room. I was given an initial quote, and after further investigation they discovered the damage was far more significant, meaning additional materials were needed. Despite this, they honoured the original quote and didn’t charge me any extra. I can’t express how much I appreciated this, especially with the cost of living being so high at the moment. They did a fantastic job, were very friendly, and completed the work quickly. I would highly recommend them.

Benson Roofers did an excellent job starting from a very thorough assessment (only one who actually went onto the roof, took videos and explained what needed to be done). Their quote had good details and made a decision easy. Reliably showed up on time, carried out the work and tidied up afterwards too. They didn’t need to access our property either which was good as we are working full time. Scaffolding was left over the weekend but wasn’t down to Benson’s, no real issue.
